Employment of Disadvantaged Individuals in Tourism: Investigation of Human Resources Managers’ Perceptions, Views and Experiences
The aim of this study is examine perceptions, views and experiences of the human resources managers about disadvantaged individuals at five star hotel that is located center of the Izmir. The study was based on phenomenological method of qualitative research. In the analysis of data which collected by interviews was used descriptive analysis technique. According to results, human resource managers’ perceptions about disadvantaged individuals were found more related with disabled people. Human resources managers think that disadvantaged individuals can employ in tourism. However, the employment of disadvantaged individuals in the tourism argued that there should be no positive discrimination.
